finally installed the parallel axis distortion and paired it with the black winter neck. Easy to see where the black winter comes from, it's tight and mean sounding and holds up fine for Drop B. It can do sludgier riffs a la crowbar/Mastodon/pelican no problem but it has enough cut to gojira/morbid angel or that kind of death metal tone.
